Fraunhofer Institute in Germany achieves breakthrough in nanoscale grinding accuracy

Event: The Fraunhofer Institute of Production Technology (IPT) in Germany announced the development of a new nanoscale CNC grinding machine, which improves machining accuracy to ± 5 nanometers through laser interference feedback technology and is suitable for aerospace precision bearing and optical lens manufacturing. This technology has entered the industrialization stage in cooperation with Siemens.
